The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

very dry dialogue-wise but a worthy gaming experience nontheless.

This is a good game but I thought it was too short and the ending(s) seemed to come up suddenly. I had inventory items that seemingly never got used.

Apart from those minor annoyances this game was very enjoyable.

Another great adventure by Sektor 13.
Also kept me playing in one go..

I'm amazed that so little fuss has greeted the release of this game. A good length, great music, compelling atmosphere, excellent gameplay and attractive graphics combine to make Project Xenophobe an overlooked semi-classic. That is only the case at the time of writing though, I am confident everyone will eventually catch on to this great game.

If you're looking for a light, comedic adventure then turn back now. The tone of Project Xenophobe is deadly serious and the feeling you get when playing the game is pretty creepy. Like a military based action/sci-fi film in game form, Project Xenophobe has two (as far as I'm aware) possible endings, one of which is the one of the most chilling climaxes in an AGs game I have yet encountered.

I only became aware of this game today and there wasn't much information about it so I just played it on a whim. I was surprised at just how good it was. It kept me playing for a good few hours and I would definitely replay it. Project Xenophobe cannot be overlooked for much longer. Download it now
